Good afternoon everyone. please can you advise me if kiri moto can vertical slice.
i am looking to import a standard obj or stl file so i can slice it to a thickness of plywood 3mm or 6mm and then export these slices to my laser or cnc machine
i am looking for an alternative to the defunt fusion slicer app and kiro moto looks promising
any help would be welcome

laser mode supports this. you can get slices at z intervals output as svg or gcode

Is there any chance that Kiri:Moto could support galvo lasers in the future?
if they use gcode, it’s possible
I don’t think so, I have a galvo UV laser that does 2D engraving, but also does inner engraving on a K9 crystal block, but it has no Z-axis, so I thought to make either a platform I can raise/lower with a stepper or build a stepper on the manual focus wheel. and then slice an STL in this way loading image after image while ajusting the stepper.
Or you buy a galvo / controller that does inner engraving, but where is the fun in that?
Well, EZCAD reads NC files very well, mybe that’s the away to go. I’ll be needing an NC file for every layer though.
