Onshape tabs and simple question on tool path refresh

Very new to kiri:moto and the software looks amazing. I have one question on refreshing the tool paths for CNC. When I update an operation, is there a keyboard command to regenerate the toolpaths in preview mode?

I am currently switching ‘tabs’ back to arrange and then back to preview to regenerate, but it seemed to me that the video guides just regenerate the paths with some shortcut. Can’t find any information on that and the keys I tried randomly didn’t work.

Second item is the onshape tabs issue, with each tab overwriting the last tab. I did read the relevant posts on this and the suggested work around is to save workspaces. However the import button that usually loads a workspace in the onshape plug in just pulls up the import part dialog. (so does the load tool library button by the way). For me both looked bugged and there is no way to load either the workspace or the tool library in the onshape KM plugin.

Other than that am loving the software. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

You can apparently activate the ´slice´ tab (either by clicking it or with the shortcut [s]) to re-slice the paths, but this doesn’t seem to work for the preview tab as far as I can tell. I believe when you change the operations you need to re-slice before it will be able to update the preview anyway. You can use the [s] shortcut to switch to the slice tab, then the [p] shortcut to switch back to preview.

As for importing workspaces and other things into the onshape integrated K:M you drag and drop the file you want to import onto the window. (I had the same question when I wanted to import my tool library into onshape K:M)

If you want to learn more about Kiri:Moto shortcuts, and CAM mode, I’d recommend checking out the docs.

the current workspace storage model wasn’t designed with multiple tabs in the same browser showing different things. so that makes onshape workspaces difficult. it’s something I’m aware of but don’t present have time to redesign.
