Kiri:Moto Laser + Onshape Sheet Metal = Flat Pattern

Sort of accidentally I discovered I could use Onshape’s sheet metal feature with Kiri:Moto to produce laser-cuttable, press-fit, flat-pattern parts. Although Onshape produces a flat part, you can’t directly access it inside Onshape. Enter Kiri:Moto which sees the flat-pattern part through the normal API and thus can import it and make it printable. I made a little YouTube video to show how:

That’s neat. Can you make larger tabs that would fold under like the flaps on a pizza box?

I haven’t gone that far. But I think it’s possible if you leave enough room for the bend radius
