How to engrave words into a 4th axis object?

Would I design it in OnShape? Or in Word? Or how?

Then how do I position it on the object in KM?

it depends on how complex the surface is. in Onshape, Embossing is easy with extrude add/remove. You can also “wrap” text around an object (see youtube). In either case you’re limited to Onshape’s font selection. If you want something more complex than that, you’ll probably have to use a mesh editor.

Thanks. It’s a compound curve. I haven’t found anyway to do it in Onshape. What’s a good mesh editor?

I can’t say that I’ve had need of or used what’s out there. Hopefully someone else will have more direct experience to offer.
