How about a disable operation feature?

I would like to disable an operation from being processed so I can focus better on the path of the operation I’m currently working on without having to drag it below the “end of ops chain”-line and also messing up my order.

Just like the bin-icon to delete it, like a pause icon to skip it.

Or maybe a “begin of ops chain” marker would could do nicely too, but I think the pause-op is more flexible.

Would that be a good idea for a next version?

You can toggle whether an operation is disabled or not by ctrl-clicking it in the op list.

Oh nice, that’s just what I needed…. I went through the key-presses, but never tried the CTRL-click

Thanks!

That’s a real time saver but us Mac users, it’s CMD - click then slice.

Really helpful! Ctrl + click is not too obvious…

I usully drag the operation down behind the “end of operations” marker:

BTW: Is there a Tipps & Tricks Topic somewhere that can hold/link things like this? I still remember the hard time I had with my “first steps in Kiri:Moto”. Luckily I kept up trying…

yes but the docs are not 100%

I’ve learned most about Kiri:Moto from youtube videos.
And trying… and reporting what I think  and getting answers.
It may be anoying that I constantly have something, but it’s all in good intention I want Kiri:Moto to be as good as (actully even better than) commercial CAM software.

I love that a bug report is often addressed quickly and I love that I can do suggestions to the developers… I don’t think I can talk with the dev of let’s say SolidWorks or Autodesk.
I also did some bug-reports to Makera for the Makera Cam software… then there was an update and nothing was fixed :frowning:

One of the hardest thing about software development is keeping documentation updated!

Damn right! That is why I thought a dedicated topic to post all that “today I learned/figured out” could be a good idea. Is not too much work to copy/repost an answer like the current one from “somewhere down in some thread” to there…
