I’m using a 3mm endmill to drill a 3mm hole into AL. But the animation seems to show a plunge drill path, instead of a peck (where the endmill retracts above the surface by two mm after going 0.5mm deeper). I can’t see the retract in the animation, but I see the 0.5mm steps in the preview. I can just run the gcode on my machine in the air to find out if it’s working, but the animation shows it’s not working. My 3mm endmill will not be able to do a full plunge. Is this a bug in the animation. (I don’t seem to be able to slow down the animation but it looks like a full plunge when running…)
it could be a bug. you can use the step button instead of the run button to execute one gcode line at a time
It seems to me that the animation is just too fast for you see the lifts properly. You can kind of see them, but even when stepping it appears to skip over them most of the time.
Thanks for the replay. When I run it it does work correctly. Just the animation is so fast, I can’t see it.
