First, I love this CNC software. After reviewing many, I’ve felt this is the best available!
So, one thing that I noticed is when the CNC is traveling downward, it uses the milling settings for downward travel. My mill cannot move quickly into the material, so this adds many minutes of mill time. Freecad, (which I found buggy), keeps the speed high until it starts the cut, greatly reducing time for drilling and milling. But Kori:Moto is so much better for everything else, I’ve settled on it. But this improvement would make Kori:Moto superior in every way.
Hey there,
Thanks for the kind words. I think kiri:moto is pretty great too.
I think that that could definitely be a quick and meaningful change for the system. To be clear, you are thinking that the machine should quickly go to the safe height (G0), and then go back to the plunge rate (G1) after that, correct?
