And now there’s two checkboxes. Yet aother bit of quick work for the day!

Function to follow? At this point ‘clear faces’ still clears the stock top and ‘clear stock’ appears to do nothing (except to hide ‘inside only’).

clear stock does nothing when your part is the same size as stock. it’s mostly useful for indexed mode where you want to mill away the entire block around the model before performing a lathe op.

just pushed several fixes for open traces.

Got it. So I guess this is just about what ‘clear faces’ should do. For quite some time, it hasn’t touched faces that are coincident with the top of stock. Here’s a vote of preference for that behavior.
I did find a workaround by setting Z Top a hair below stock top, but that requires knowing the thickness exactly which sometimes isn’t top of mind.

And Arc Output too. Great stuff!
I won’t be cutting anything today, but am really optimistic about another big step-up of utility with 4.5. !.

As ever, thanks for your continuing investment of self into this project!

noted on roughing and flats. this release has a massive code change to all cnc ops and path planning … and that seems like a simple request … but you know. I plan to make Z top and bottom values visually selectable (a new ui element that is an input box plus a click-to-select option).

i need to spend some time re-validating arc detection / output before 4.5 goes out. it’s still marked experimental. and it was working quite well a couple of weeks ago. something changed and it’s not doing as great a job now. so i need to track down what changed.
