CoreXY cantilever

Look at this neat design. It has a lot on common with a gridbot (like the rail supporting itself), but I think the cantilever is really clever.

well that is certainly interesting and do-able. I would be concerned about ringing and resonances, especially at higher speeds

having said that, a 3d printer that uses fold-down side legs could be compact and “print anywhere” as long as you didn’t need a heated bed

it says it can be done for around $165 and while it recomments ABS or TPU higher heat around motor mounts, using an SKR 1.4 with TMS2209 the motors are almost cold so might be doable in PLA.

I do like the compact nature of the cantilever and a 315 x 205mm area is pretty nice if it can do reasonable speads.
