I have 3D object that I want to import into Kiri:Moto 3.9.6 plug-in from On shape.
Then a pop-up says: “The security context of this window blocks important functionality”
When I open the file in shape I can see it the to the object. Then I hit the plus button and import my 3D object. Nothing shows up. Sometimes I get a little small gray box in the middle of the work field.
Firefox 126.0.1 (64-bit)
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 19045) (19041.vb_release.191206-1406)
KM does not support importing 2D objects (except for SVGs which get extruded). Is it just a surface? If you extrude it, you can import it then trace it or outline it.
Firefox and Safari have problems with KM inside Onshape with CNC animations because of the iframe security context Onshape imposes on apps. It’s a complex issue I’ve raised with them several times. But there are no other apps that do intensive processing in-browser like KM, so they are not motivated to resolve it. Chromium based browsers like Edge have a workaround.
Might I suggest that you put that info in the alert message that pops up. I could have easily opened up a different browser than Firefox. It’s only due to my software background that I think to swap out browsers. A common person might have just done a search for it like I did thinking that I wasn’t up-to-date in the latest browser. Unfortunately I have to go through IT where I’m at before I can update anything. That’s why based on my time constrictions popped over to a different browser.
Thanks for an awesome tool I truly appreciate this!
