Possible Bug - Contour Cutting Through Tabs

Hi,

I’m learning how to use CNC for the STEM Racing project, and Kiri:Moto has been amazing for this, but when trying to do flip operations I cannot use the exact middle of the stock due to the shape of the car, (50 height, Z Bottom at 21).

On the bottom side the tabs work as expected, but when I flip, the tabs are above the Z bottom, so the rough command avoid the tabs, but contour will cut through them.

This is only for us testing, so we would have to use a different tab structure in the future, but for now I thought it was an interesting bug.

Thanks for the report. Bug confirmed and fixed on the dev server. A couple of things to note:

  • this workspace is 4.6.3 but the latest version is 4.7.0
  • you can clip the contour to the z bottom if you enable that checkbox in the op
  • you can also enable web gpu in application settings to speed up contouring
